· Tournament Format: Regular scoring best of 3 sets. U12’s will use a third set tiebreak.
· Tournament Availability: All players must be available for play as early as 4pm on Friday, February 24.
· Number of events you can play: All players must play in 1 singles and 1 doubles event as doubles are mandatory.
· Doubles:
o Doubles partners must register individually
o Doubles are mandatory**. If you cannot find a partner Tennis Alberta will assign you one. If there are no partners available for you (in the event of an odd sized draw) then you will have the option of playing with another player who did not qualify for the Champs Provincials*.
*If you are without a partner please contact the Tennis Alberta office to discuss your options.
**If there are an odd number of players due to illness or injuries, there may be players unable to play in the event.
· Limited draws:
Girls U12, U16: Limited to top eight in National Qualifying points
Boys U12, U16: Limited to top eight in National Qualifying points
NOTE: SPECIAL EXCEPTIONS for the final two spots in all age categories may be accepted. The deadline for any Special Exception applications is January 19 at 5PM. Special Exceptions can be emailed to Charlie.mclean@tennisalberta.com.

JUNIOR CHAMPS:
All draws are limited to the top 8 players according to NATIONALS POINTS.
Any player who registers for the tournament who does not qualify(Not ranked top 8 in National Points) will be removed from the tournament and issued a refund minus a $10 admin fee.
· If there are insufficient entries in some event categories, the tournament director has a right to combine events.
· Consolations: full feed-in
· Manual fee:
o Players who do not use the on-line registration system for tournament entries and Player Card purchases will be subject to a $10 administration fee.
· Late Entry Policy:
o Entries will be accepted up until the entry deadline. Late entries may be accepted provided the draw has not been completed. Late entries that are accepted will be subjected to a $25 late registration fee.
· Withdrawal policy:
o Before the draw has been made will not result in any loss of points.
o After the draw has been made (default) will result in an automatic loss of 20 points, while their opponent will gain 20 points.
o Three defaults within a 12 month period will result in a suspension from sanctioned tournaments for a period of three months. After this period of time the player will be reinstated with 50 less ranking points. (The 12 month period will be defined as 12 months after the first default).
· Refund Policy:
o Withdraw before registration deadline will result in a full refund minus a $10 administration fee.
o Withdraw after registration deadline will result in refund of half of each events entry fee.
o Withdraw after draws have been posted will result in no refund (See withdrawal policy for default criteria).
· Scheduling Requests:
o No scheduling requests will be taken!
· Accommodation information: The Red Deer Lodge offers deals for all players participating in Provincials. When booking please mention that you are playing in the tournament.
